About Our Products
Are HearClearLife products real hearing aids or just amplifiers?
HearClearLife products are FDA-registered hearing aids—not simple sound amplifiers. Our devices are specifically designed for adults with mild to moderate hearing loss and feature advanced digital sound processing, noise cancellation, and personalized amplification. They meet federal standards for safety and effectiveness as medical devices.
Will these hearing aids work for my type of hearing loss?
Our hearing aids are designed for adults (18+) with mild to moderate hearing loss. This means you:
• Struggle to hear conversations in noisy places
• Often ask people to repeat themselves
• Turn the TV volume higher than others prefer
• Have difficulty hearing on the phone
If you have severe or profound hearing loss, sudden hearing loss, or hearing loss in only one ear, we recommend consulting an audiologist for a professional evaluation.
Do I need a prescription or hearing test?
No! As FDA-registered over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids, HearClearLife products do not require a prescription or professional hearing test. You can order directly from our website.
Can I use these with my smartphone?
Some of our models feature full Bluetooth connectivity/app functionality, allowing you to:
• Stream phone calls directly to your hearing aid
• Listen to music, podcasts, and videos
• Adjust settings via our free app (iOS and Android)
How is HearClear so affordable compared to clinic hearing aids?
Traditional hearing aids are sold through clinics that add significant markups for fitting appointments, overhead costs, and middlemen. We sell directly to you — cutting out the middlemen and passing the savings on. Our hearing aids use the same core digital technology at a fraction of the cost.

Setup & Use
How difficult is it to set up?
Very simple! Here are the steps:
Charge the hearing aid for 2 hours (or overnight).
Select the appropriate ear tip size (3-4 sizes are included).
Turn on the hearing aid and wear it.
Basic use is that simple—the hearing aid is ready to use right out of the box with the factory presets.
For personalized settings:
• Use our free app (5-minute guided hearing test)
• Or use the SmartFit touchscreen (SmartFit models only)
If you need help, please contact us.
How do I know which ear dome size to use?
Start with the medium (M) size. The right fit should feel:
• Secure (doesn't fall out when you move your head)
• Comfortable (no pain or excessive pressure)
• Sealed (creates a light seal without feeling plugged)
If medium feels loose, try large (L). If it's uncomfortable, try small (S).
Can I wear them all day?
Yes! Our hearing aids are designed for all-day comfort. However, we recommend:
• Taking them out at night to let your ears rest
• Cleaning them daily
• Storing them in the charging case when not in use
Are they waterproof?
Our hearing aids are water-resistant (rated IPX4-IPX6, depending on model), meaning they can handle:
✓ Light rain
✓ Sweat during exercise
✓ Humidity
However, they are NOT waterproof. Do NOT:
✗ Wear them in the shower
✗ Submerge them in water
✗ Wear them while swimming
Can I sleep with them?
We don't recommend sleeping with your hearing aids. Removing them at night:
• Lets your ears rest
• Prevents damage from rolling onto them
• Allows time for charging

Troubleshooting
I'm getting a whistling sound. What should I do?
Whistling (feedback) can be caused by:
• Improper ear dome fit—try a larger size
• Earwax buildup—clean your ears and the device
• Volume set too high—reduce the volume slightly
• Loose fit—ensure the device is seated properly
If the issue persists, contact our support team.
The sound is too quiet/too loud. How do I adjust it?
Most headphone models have a built-in volume control button. Press once to increase the volume, and press and hold for 2 seconds to decrease the volume. Each product comes with an instruction manual; you can adjust the volume according to the instructions in the manual.

Safety & Health
Are there any side effects?
Most people adapt to hearing aids within 2-4 weeks. During this period, you might experience:
• Sounds seeming "too loud" (your brain is readjusting)
• Mild ear discomfort (usually resolved by changing ear dome size)
• Temporary fatigue from processing more sound
These are normal and typically resolve as you adjust.
If you experience pain, dizziness, or worsening hearing, stop using the device and consult a healthcare professional.
Can hearing aids damage my hearing?
When used as directed, hearing aids do NOT damage hearing. Our devices have built-in safety limits to prevent over-amplification.
However, using them at excessively high volumes for extended periods could potentially cause damage. Always use the lowest comfortable volume.
I have tinnitus (ringing in the ears). Will these help?
Many users with tinnitus report that hearing aids help by:
• Amplifying external sounds that mask the ringing
• Reducing the contrast between tinnitus and background noise
However, our devices are not specifically designed as tinnitus treatment devices. Consult a healthcare provider for personalized tinnitus management.
When should I see a doctor instead of using OTC hearing aids?
Consult a doctor or audiologist if you have:
• Sudden hearing loss (in the past 90 days)
• Hearing loss in only one ear
• Severe or profound hearing loss
• Ear pain, discharge, or bleeding
• Dizziness or balance problems
• Visible deformity of the ear since birth
• Excessive earwax buildup or foreign object in ear canal
